Essi.j Backpack — Minimalist Leather Carry

Sometimes less really is more. The Essi.j Backpack is a simple, clean leather backpack designed to showcase the natural beauty of the leather itself. With no extra pockets or embellishments, its elegance comes from the material and craftsmanship. The small flap and drawstring closure make it ideal for carrying small items or even using in place of a purse.

Recommended Leather

I used 5–6oz regular temper leather for a balanced structure — sturdy enough to hold its shape, yet flexible enough for everyday use. This leather choice lets the backpack age gracefully, developing a natural patina over time.

Design Insight

I wanted a design that highlights leather in its purest form — no distractions, just a timeless small backpack that’s both functional and classy.
