Camera Case — Clean, Functional, and Western-Inspired
The Camera Case is a simple, functional design with a clean look and a nod to classic western style. It’s designed to fit most camera bodies comfortably, making it a practical project for photographers who want a handcrafted, personal touch to their gear.
While the bag works great on its own, I recommend adding a soft lining or padding inside for extra protection — especially if you're carrying delicate equipment. The case is fully hand-stitched, with slightly wider spacing between the stitch holes to give it a more pronounced, handcrafted aesthetic.
On the back, the flap is cut into a pointed western-style shape, adding subtle character to an otherwise minimal design. Of course, you can easily customize that shape to suit your own style.
Recommended Leather
I used 3–4oz natural vegetable-tanned leather with a firm temper. This gives the case structure and durability while avoiding any chemicals that could react with sensitive camera equipment. Natural veg tan will also age beautifully over time, developing a warm patina that tells its own story.
Design Insight
This case came together with ease — it’s one of those projects that balances utility and aesthetic. I wanted something minimal, practical, and easy to customize, making it a great piece for both seasoned leatherworkers and beginners.
